Brian Babin, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Texas’ 36th district, has recently shared a series of statements on his social media account. Babin, who replaced Steve Stockman in 2015 and was born in Port Arthur, Texas in 1948, addressed several national issues through his posts.

On January 27, 2025, Brian Babin tweeted about the Central Intelligence Agency’s recent admission regarding the origins of COVID-19. He stated: “The CIA now admits that COVID most likely came from a lab leak.” Babin criticized “The Left and their media cronies” for censoring and demonizing Americans over this belief and called for “answers, transparency,” and accountability for Dr. Anthony Fauci concerning gain-of-function research.

Later that day, Babin posted another tweet celebrating America’s resurgence under current leadership. He declared: “America is back, stronger than ever!” accompanied by an expression of support for what he describes as “bold, America FIRST leadership.”

In another post on the same date during School Choice Week, Babin emphasized the importance of parental control over children’s education decisions. He asserted: “Parents—not Washington bureaucrats—know what’s best for their children’s education.” He also mentioned efforts by @HouseGOP to empower parents in educational decision-making.
