On January 24, 2025, Babin expressed his appreciation for the Houston Police Department’s officers he met during the week. He highlighted their service with the Clear Lake Patrol and Mounted Patrol divisions and noted their recent deployment to Washington D.C. for the Inauguration. “Great to visit with several of @houstonpolice’s finest officers this week! They serve with the Clear Lake Patrol and Mounted Patrol divisions and were recently deployed to DC to work the Inauguration.”

Later that day, Babin commented on an event occurring in Washington D.C., where thousands gathered to celebrate life.
