On May 10, 2025, Babin expressed his political stance by criticizing the Democratic Party’s approach to immigration. He stated that “Democrats care more about illegal alien criminals than law-abiding Americans,” adding disbelief over public support for what he described as “radicals who push anti-American policies.” He concluded with a quote attributed to John Wayne: “You can’t fix stupid.”

The following day, May 11, 2025, Babin shared a personal message dedicated to his wife on Mother’s Day. He tweeted that “My beautiful wife, Roxanne, is the heart of our family,” highlighting her role as mother and grandmother. He extended Mother’s Day wishes to all mothers in Texas’ 36th district and across America.

In another post dated May 12, 2025, Babin recognized National Police Week by honoring law enforcement officers. He expressed gratitude for their service with the statement: “This #NationalPoliceWeek, we honor the brave men and women in blue” who ensure community safety through their courage and dedication.

Babin was born in Port Arthur, Texas in 1948 and currently resides in Woodville. A graduate of Lamar University with a Bachelor of Science degree earned in 1973, he succeeded Steve Stockman as representative for Texas’ 36th district.
