Liberty County had one gas station selling midgrade gas at the lowest price of $2.39 per gallon during the week ending Jan. 3, according to customer reports submitted to GasBuddy.
The county registered an average of $2.67 per gallon for midgrade gas.
Among 81 gas stations in cities within Liberty County, 16 offered midgrade gas.
The average reported price for a gallon of midgrade gas in Texas was $2.77, down from the previous week.
U.S. gas prices continue to decline after reaching their lowest level since 2021, according to GasBuddy. The group projects the national average could dip below $2.80 per gallon during the holiday period, driven by increased oil production and lower seasonal demand.
