U.S. Representative Ed Case, who serves Hawaii’s 1st district in Congress, recently shared updates from his official activities on social media, highlighting meetings with local business and community leaders as well as a public event focused on economic issues.

On August 20, 2025, Case posted about a series of district meetings with representatives from various organizations. He wrote, “Full district meeting morning including: Trung Lam and Umma Berkelman of Hawaiʻi Technology Development Corporation; Celeste Connors of East-West Center; Gregg Oishi of Kuakini Health Systems; Joshua Knisley and Daniel Sepulveda of Veterans Assn of Real Estate Professionals”. In a follow-up post the same day, he added, “…Ellen Ng of Inoa (blockchain technology); Ty Otake and Trevor Yasunaga of New York Life Insurance; Ann Teranishi of American Savings Bank; and Arabella Tan of ‘Iolani School, returning from a prestigious Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) summer STEM program offered to”.

Two days later, on August 22, 2025, Case expressed appreciation for a recent speaking engagement. He stated, “Big mahalo to the Kapolei Chamber of Commerce and partner U.S. Chamber of Commerce for featuring me at your “Breakfast with the Rep” talk story at Wai Kai for my report from Congress and wide-ranging Q&A focused on reducing our cost of living and doing business. I learned a ton”.

Case has represented Hawaii’s 1st congressional district since 2019 after succeeding Colleen Hanabusa. Before his current tenure in Congress, he served in the Hawaii House of Representatives between 1994 and 2002. Born in Hilo in 1952 and currently residing in Kāneʻohe, Case holds degrees from Williams College and the University of California, Hastings.
