Rep. Ed Case, who has been serving in the U.S. Congress representing Hawaii’s 1st district since 2019, shared his experiences on social media regarding a week of constituent engagement activities. Despite the cancellation of all U.S. House work during a crucial legislative period, Rep. On July 7, 2025, Rep. Ed Case announced via Twitter that “My majority colleagues unfortunately cancelled all US House work this week in the peak of our legislative season, but it gives me the opportunity to hit the road again for another round of Walk Story thru my district.” This allowed him to engage directly with residents across his district.

The following day, July 8, he detailed his itinerary for the first day back home in Hawaii: “Walk Story, Round 2, Day 1: Back home for the week, I hit the road again to talk story straight with my constituents where you live and work…” He mentioned visiting Upper Palolo and Palolo Homes and noted a personal connection at Good Samaritan Episcopal Church.

Continuing his efforts on July 9, Rep. Case reported on Twitter about further engagements in Kalihi: “Walk Story Round 2, Day 2: Kalihi. Kicked off at Kam Bowl breakfast in Kam Shopping Center before walking Kalihi Valley…” During this visit, he checked on a congressionally funded project at Kokua Kalihi Valley Ho’oulu ‘Aina and interacted with small businesses along North King Street.
