U.S. Representative Ed Case, who serves Hawaii’s 1st district in Congress, has recently highlighted his ongoing work and community engagement through a series of posts on social media.

On September 22, 2025, Case congratulated the former governor: “Congrats to Governor David Ige on the unveiling of your official portrait. You were a great partner not only in coordinating day-to-day federal-state efforts for our Hawai‘i but in navigating thru real crises like COVID-19 and Red Hill.”

The following day, on September 23, 2025, he addressed federal support for public schools: “When our federal military and civilian employee children attend our public schools, the feds should pay their fair share of our costs. This is ‘impact aid’, and every year in Appropriations and otherwise I work to max out fair impact aid for Hawai’i. I again met with my partners”.

On September 24, 2025, Case invited constituents to an upcoming virtual meeting: “My next live districtwide Tele-Talk Story community meeting will be on Thursday, October 2nd, 6PM-7:30PM Hawai’i. I’ll report back to you, listen to your concern and answer your questions. Check out my short video for more info. For how to join: https://t.co/WFrTUEJZTl. Looking”.

Case has represented Hawaii’s 1st District since 2019 after succeeding Colleen Hanabusa as its U.S. Congress member. He previously served in the Hawaii House of Representatives from 1994 to 2002 and was born in Hilo in 1952 before settling in Kāneʻohe. Case holds degrees from Williams College (BA) and UC Hastings (JD).
