U.S. Representative Ed Case, who represents Hawaii’s 1st district in Congress, recently shared updates on his official X account highlighting meetings with visitors from Hawaii and community events in Washington, D.C.
On February 14, 2026, Case posted about welcoming various groups to the capital: “Great to welcome so many Hawai’i visitors to DC this week, incl: Special Olympics Hawai’i and outstanding athlete ambassador Jenna Hasan; former Hawai’i Public Utilities Commission Chair Lorraine Akiba on energy policy; American institute of Architects-Hawai’i on affordable https://t.co/0i5MRl5kPB”.
The following day, February 15, he wrote about a discussion with two students from Hawaii currently attending Ivy League universities: “Loved talking story on indigenous language revitalization and other current issues w/two really impressive Hawai’i students, Kaylah Toves of Kapolei now at Cornell Univ, and Joshua Ching of Waipahu now at Yale Univ, with prestigious fellowships at the Aspen Institute’s Center for https://t.co/QVG1tk45Rh”.
On February 16, Case marked the lunar new year by joining members of the Vietnamese community in Honolulu: “Chuc Mung Nam Moi! Case has served as Hawaii’s 1st district representative since 2019 after succeeding Colleen Hanabusa. He previously held office in the Hawaii House of Representatives between 1994 and 2002. Born in Hilo in 1952 and currently residing in Kāneʻohe, Case holds degrees from Williams College (BA) and UC Hastings (JD).
