U.S. Representative Ed Case, who serves Hawaii’s 1st district, recently used his social media platform to address federal service delivery and support for community initiatives in Hawaii.

On September 3, 2025, Case wrote, “The non-Continent parts of our country should never be discriminated against in the delivery of federal programs and services. I led a bipartisan effort with my fellow island colleagues to demand improvements in the U.S. Postal Service’s Ground Advantage package service which has”.

A day later, on September 4, 2025, he highlighted his advocacy for financial institutions that serve low-income communities: “Yesterday in Appropriations I urged full funding of Community Development Financial Institutions, ‘one of our most effective and efficient tools to jumpstart economic sustainability in our low-income communities’. In Hawai’i we have 11 certified CDFIs making fully repayable loans”.

On September 5, 2025, Case shared details about his engagement with local health organizations: “I stepped out of Appropriations to meet with Hawai’i Health and Harm Reduction Center and Gregory House visitors on critical federal programs supporting their incredible service to communities living with HIV/AIDS, hepatitis and other health challenges as well as facing”.

Case has represented Hawaii’s 1st district since 2019 after succeeding Colleen Hanabusa. He previously served in the Hawaii House of Representatives from 1994 to 2002. Born in Hilo in 1952 and currently residing in Kāneʻohe, Case holds a BA from Williams College (1975) and a JD from the University of California, Hastings (1981).
