U.S. Representative Ed Case, who serves Hawaii’s 1st district in Congress, recently shared updates on his activities and initiatives through a series of posts on social media.
On August 3, 2025, Case highlighted efforts following the Red Hill fuel leak incident. He stated, “Among many post-Red Hill efforts, I joined my Hawai’i Congressional delegation colleagues in successfully advocating for and funding a registry to track longterm health impacts to the upwards of 98,000 directly exposed to the fuel leak. University of Hawai’i was awarded $27”.
The following day, August 4, 2025, Case posted about participating in a local cultural event: “Obon! Such a beautiful summer evening at Waipahu Soto Zen Temple Taiyoji to honor the ancestors, catch up on ono food, get put to work in andagi tent and talk story with constituents.”
On August 5, 2025, he shared another update via a brief post containing only a link: “https://t.co/uAwSomoUuL”.
Ed Case has represented Hawaii’s 1st congressional district since 2019 after succeeding Colleen Hanabusa. Before serving in Congress, he was a member of the Hawaii House of Representatives from 1994 to 2002. Born in Hilo in 1952 and currently residing in Kāneʻohe at age 70, Case holds degrees from Williams College and the University of California Hastings College of Law.
