U.S. Representative Ed Case, who serves Hawaii’s 1st district in Congress, used his social media platform to highlight recent community engagement and legislative priorities, including the future of Social Security and efforts to address hunger in Hawaii.
On August 6, 2025, Case posted about a discussion he led at an AARP Hawaii event: “Yes we will protect and preserve Social Security! Case has represented Hawaii’s 1st congressional district since 2019 after succeeding Colleen Hanabusa. He previously served in the Hawaii House of Representatives from 1994 to 2002. Born in Hilo in 1952, Case is now based in Kāneʻohe. His educational background includes a BA from Williams College (1975) and a JD from the University of California, Hastings (1981).
