Ed Case, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Hawaii’s 1st district, has been active on social media, sharing personal and professional updates. He replaced previous U.S Congress member Colleen Hanabusa in 2019 and has served since then. Born in Hilo, Hawaii in 1952, Case lives in Kāneʻohe and holds a BA from Williams College and a JD from the University of California, Hastings.

On June 1, 2025, Case reflected on his visits to Hawaiʻi Prep Academy in Waimea. “Every high school reunion at Hawaiʻi Prep Academy in Waimea I hike up into the hills like we did then for treasured moments of silence, reflection, nature and beauty; especially grateful this year as I head back to the turmoil of DC.”

The following day, June 2, 2025, he shared a story about assisting a constituent with military documentation. “We helped a son obtain his late father’s National Guard separation document from the National Guard Bureau to authorize his burial at the Hawai’i State Veterans Cemetery. For assistance with a federal agency, contact us at https://t.co/SKyQcOklCH.”

On June 3, 2025, Case expressed gratitude after visiting a ballistic missile submarine. “I had the rare privilege of visiting one of our 14 SSBNs/ballistic missile submarines at sea to better understand this critical link in our national defense and to say mahalo to its very special submariners, including fully three great local boys: Fireman Tyler Simmer of Nanakuli.”

Ed Case has been an influential figure since he began serving in Congress for Hawaii’s first district. His experience includes time in the Hawaii House of Representatives from 1994 to 2002.
