Janis Holt, a Republican member of the Texas State House representing the 18th district since 2025, has publicly expressed support for Governor Greg Abbott and fellow legislator Katrina Pierson in a series of social media posts.

On August 20, 2025, Holt posted “Thank you, Governor Abbott.” On August 21, she expanded on her gratitude by stating “It’s time!!!! Thank you, Governor @GregAbbott_TX for adding these three items to the call. ESPECIALLY, the first one.” Later that same day, Holt showed support for a colleague: “Proud to stand with my colleague and friend, @KatrinaPierson as she totally annihilated the democrats arguments. Enough is Enough. #txlege”

Holt began serving in the Texas State House in 2025 after being elected to represent District 18. She succeeded Ernest Bailes in this position.
