Arrington has been serving in Congress since 2017, replacing Randy Neugebauer. Born in Plainview, Texas, in 1972, he resides in Lubbock and holds a bachelor’s degree from Texas Tech University, obtained in 1994.
On April 21, 2025, Arrington shared a sentiment on social media following the passing of Pope Francis. He quoted a biblical passage, ““The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’” (Matthew 25:40)” and expressed condolences, particularly toward his Catholic constituents.
Two days later, on April 23, 2025, Arrington criticized the Democratic Party, describing their policies as “Unconscionable.” He accused them of appeasing the Radical Left and implementing “America Last policies” that allegedly threaten safety and security, using California as an example.
