Rep. Jodey Arrington, a U.S. Congressman representing Texas’ 19th district since 2017, has recently shared his views on various issues through social media. His tweets touch upon state-sponsored media, law enforcement in Seattle, and fiscal concerns facing the nation.

On May 6, 2025, Rep. Arrington expressed skepticism about the impartiality of state-sponsored media outlets such as PBS and NPR. He stated, “If state-sponsored media like PBS and NPR are ‘unbiased and independent,’ then I have some ocean front property in Lubbock, Texas to sell you.” He further remarked that such media entities suggest an authoritarian regime’s attempt to control narratives.

In a tweet dated May 7, 2025, Rep. Arrington commented on the situation in Seattle regarding law enforcement and public order. He asserted that “Seattle surrendered rule of law and is now a playground for the Radical mob.”

Later that day, he highlighted an important hearing taking place in Washington D.C., emphasizing its significance given the nation’s financial status. He urged decisions based on facts and figures due to the impending debt crisis: “Every decision we make should be informed by the facts and figures along with the dire projections of our nation’s bleak fiscal state of affairs.”

Jodey Arrington was born in Plainview, Texas in 1972 and currently resides in Lubbock. He graduated from Texas Tech University with a BA in 1994.
