U.S. Congressman Jodey Arrington, representing Texas’ 19th district, recently took to social media to voice support for former President Trump’s trade strategies and the America First Agenda. Arrington, a Republican and advocate of Trump’s policies, shared several tweets discussing tariffs, trade, and fiscal policies.

On March 31, 2025, Arrington expressed approval of Trump’s trade strategies: “President Trump successfully deployed this strategy in his first administration (ex: Market Facilitation Payments for farmers) – using tariff revenue to provide temporary relief to producers hit the hardest during reciprocal trade negotiations. It makes sense to use foreign”.

Continuing his support for Trump’s tariffs, Arrington tweeted on April 1, 2025: “President Trump’s tariffs are critical for long-term prosperity and resetting fair and reciprocal trade for our producers and manufacturers.”

On the same day, Arrington highlighted fiscal aspects of Trump’s agenda: “President Trump has made himself very clear – the America First Agenda includes putting our nation on a path to balance, which starts with reining in spending.”
