Rep. Jodey Arrington, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Texas’ 19th district, has recently shared his thoughts on various national issues through a series of tweets. Arrington, who succeeded Randy Neugebauer in 2017, continues to voice his perspectives on fiscal policies and education.

On May 5, 2025, Rep. Arrington expressed concerns about the nation’s financial state with a tweet stating: “We have a generational opportunity to right-size the bloated bureaucracy, execute on President Trump’s agenda, and put our nation on a path to balance.” He highlighted the alarming $2 trillion annual deficit projected to double over the next decade and noted that interest payments are surpassing other expenditures.

The following day, May 6, 2025, he further elaborated on Republican efforts in another tweet: “Republicans are well on our way to delivering One Big, Beautiful, BALANCED bill that will make America safer, stronger, and more prosperous – all while restoring fiscal sanity to Washington.”

In addition to fiscal matters, Rep. Arrington took time to acknowledge educators in West Texas with a heartfelt message posted later that same day. In his tweet, he stated: “To all the educators across West Texas who have dedicated their lives to training up the next generation of big thinkers and bold doers, you inspire us. Thank you!”

Jodey Arrington was born in Plainview, Texas in 1972 and currently resides in Lubbock. He graduated from Texas Tech University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1994.
