Rep. Jodey Arrington, currently serving in the U.S. Congress for Texas’ 19th District, has been active on social media. His recent tweets span themes of personal loss, reflections on achievements in Congress, and policy critiques.
On May 2, 2025, Arrington expressed sorrow over the death of Phil Crenshaw, describing him as “a dear friend and inspiration for all Americans.” Arrington described Crenshaw as “a gentleman soldier who epitomized our greatest generation – humble, kind, and courageous,” and that Crenshaw was a person he “deeply admired” and whom he would “forever cherish the memory of” (source).
In a subsequent post, Arrington commemorated Crenshaw’s role in Congress, highlighting an instance where “Phil Crenshaw opening the House Floor as Guest Chaplain for the House of Representatives, April 26, 2018” (source).
In another tweet from the same day, Arrington criticized the Democratic Party’s stance on gender issues, claiming, “The Democrat Party went so far Left it’s now anti-woman.” He further remarked, “Too many female athletes have had their big moment stolen by biological men because nobody was willing to stand up to them,” supporting President Trump and Republicans’ initiatives to protect female athletes (source).
Arrington was born in Plainview, Texas, in 1972 and now resides in Lubbock. He completed his higher education at Texas Tech University in 1994. Since 2017, he has served as a congressman, following the tenure of Randy Neugebauer.
