Rep. Ed Case, U.S. Congressman representing Hawaii’s 1st district since 2019, has highlighted his recent activities and legislative efforts through a series of posts on social media.
On August 18, 2025, Case underscored his ongoing commitment to strengthening ties with Japan by posting: “I try to strengthen our country’s relationship with our friend and ally Japan in DC, home and elsewhere wherever and however I can, including visiting with Consul General and Mrs. Kodama at the Japan Consulate in Honolulu. Japan first established a mission in Honolulu in 1885,”.
The following day, on August 19, he announced an update on local outreach efforts via community media: “Here’s my next monthly Congressman Ed Case Reports on ‘Olelo Community Media, this one on my recent back-home outreach including: Palarong Pinoy at Fil-Com in Waipahu; Puerto Rican Festival at Mililani High; Pearl Harbor Trades Graduation at Hilton Hawaiian; Red Hill Registry and”.
Later that same day, Case recognized the anniversary of the Voting Rights Act of 1965 by noting new legislative initiatives: “As we celebrate the 60th anniversary of the landmark Voting Rights Act of ‘65, I cointroduced four bills to expand its protections of the right of every qualified citizen to vote:

Case was born in Hilo, Hawaii in 1952 and currently resides in Kāneʻohe. He graduated from Williams College with a BA in 1975 before earning his JD from the University of California, Hastings in 1981. Prior to serving Hawaii’s 1st district since replacing Colleen Hanabusa in Congress in 2019, he served as a member of the Hawaii House of Representatives from 1994 to 2002.
