Rep. Ed Case, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Hawaii’s 1st district, actively participates in educational and environmental developments. On April 27, 2025, Rep. Ed Case expressed his admiration for the sixth-grade students and teachers at Kūlia Academy Public Charter School, situated at St. John the Baptist Church in Kalihi. He emphasized that the school is “the first in the U.S. to offer a comprehensive seven-year artificial intelligence/data” program, marking a pioneering step in education. In a tweet dated April 28, 2025, Rep. Ed Case reported meeting with the Navy Closure Task Force-Red Hill to review its operations, including completed defueling and cleaning of tanks, as well as the upcoming reactivation of the Aiea-Halawa shaft. On April 29, 2025, Rep. Ed Case voiced his concerns about the current administration’s attempts to undermine protective measures for the welfare of vulnerable communities. He stressed, “A great America recognizes and embraces our collective obligation to protect those of our ’ohana most subject to discrimination.” Case criticizes the administration for taking what he perceives as a harsh approach. Ed Case was born in 1952 in Hilo, Hawaii and resides in Kāneʻohe. He is a graduate of Williams College and earned his law degree from the University of California, Hastings.
