On April 11, 2025, Case discussed a meeting with Ernie Lau, Chief Engineer of the Honolulu Board of Water Supply, and Na’alehu Anthony, Chair of BWS. The discussions centered around Red Hill remediation, water safety, and the need for ongoing federal funding to support these efforts.
On April 13, 2025, Case expressed gratitude to Gino Soquena, Executive Director of the Hawai’i Building & Construction Trades Council AFL-CIO, and acknowledged the contributions of unionized trades members. Ed Case is actively serving in the U.S. Congress, representing Hawaii’s 1st district, a position he has held since succeeding Colleen Hanabusa in 2019. Born in Hilo, Hawaii, Case has a long-standing career in public service, including previous service in the Hawaii House of Representatives. He holds a BA from Williams College and a JD from the University of California, Hastings.
