Representative Ed Case, who has served Hawaii’s 1st district in the U.S. Congress since 2019, recently shared updates from his ongoing “Walk Story” initiative through a series of posts on social media. The initiative involves visiting various neighborhoods within his district to engage with constituents and local organizations.
On July 10, 2025, Case posted about his activities in Moʻiliʻili, stating: “Walk Story, Round 2, Day 3: Moʻiliʻili. So much compressed into just University Ave to McCully St. High points: talking small business concerns especially tariffs; catching up with the Moʻiliʻili Community Center; visiting the 442nd Veterans Club; interview with KZOO serving our”.
The following day, July 11, Case described visits to Salt Lake, Foster Village, Aliamanu and Moanalua: “Walk Story, Round 2, Day 4: Salt Lake, Foster Village, Aliamanu and Moanalua, kicked off by early am talk story w/Flor Martinez on KNDI Radio serving our Fil-Am community, and including a catch-up with our veterans ‘ohana at the O’ahu Veterans Center.”
On July 12, Case reported on his outreach in ‘Aiea and Halawa: “Walk Story, Round 2, Day 5: ‘Aiea and Halawa, from the cool heights to the industrial warehouses and many varied small businesses. Special mahalo to the hundreds of my constituents who talked story with me over the last five days where you live, work and play. I feel very”.
Ed Case was born in Hilo in 1952 and currently resides in Kāneʻohe. He graduated from Williams College in 1975 before earning a JD from UC Hastings in 1981. Before joining Congress in 2019—replacing Colleen Hanabusa—he served in the Hawaii House of Representatives from 1994 to 2002.
