Rep. Ed Case, U.S. Congressman representing Hawaii’s 1st district since 2019, has recently shared updates on his activities and legislative efforts through a series of posts on his official social media account.
On August 13, 2025, Case posted about his ongoing engagement with constituents in his district: “I did this quick reel including slide show to highlight my recent Walk Story #2 through my district. Can’t wait for Round 3 to get back out and about my district talking story again.”
The following day, August 14, he announced new legislative efforts focused on tourism and indigenous culture: “I introduced legislation to strengthen tourism grounded in indigenous history and culture. Visitors to Hawai’i want to understand and experience real Native Hawaiian history and culture and take home the lessons offered. Indigenous-based tourism is a win-win all around for”
On August 15, Case reflected on his personal identity in a brief post: “Doubly blessed: American from Hawai’i.”
Case has served Hawaii’s 1st District in Congress since succeeding Colleen Hanabusa in 2019. He previously represented the state in the Hawaii House of Representatives from 1994 to 2002. Born in Hilo, Hawaii in 1952, Case resides in Kāneʻohe. He holds a BA from Williams College (1975) and a JD from the University of California, Hastings (1981).
