Rep. Ed Case, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Hawaii’s 1st district since 2019, has recently shared several updates on social media regarding his activities and concerns about the current administration. Born in Hilo, Hawaii, in 1952, Case has a long history of public service, including time in the Hawaii House of Representatives from 1994 to 2002.

On February 10, Rep. Ed Case posted an update on his monthly segment on ‘Olelo Community Media. He highlighted “his six in-person Talk Story community meetings across my district January 27th thru February 1st.” “Here’s my latest monthly Congressman Ed Case Reports on ‘Olelo Community Media…”

In another post dated February 12, he discussed a recent teleconference titled “Trump 2.0/What’s Going On?” which addressed “the confusion and chaos of this administration’s first three weeks.” He expressed gratitude to the over “15,000” participants who joined the discussion from Capitol Hill. “Here’s a replay of my short-notice districtwide Tele-Talk Story…”

On February 13, Rep. Case raised concerns about an initiative by the Trump administration to permit non-government personnel access to taxpayers’ private financial data without adequate security measures. He noted that currently only “a federal judge’s temporary order” is preventing this action from proceeding further. “Will anyone even try to defend the Trump administration’s attempt…”
