Rep. Jodey Arrington, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Texas’ 19th district, has taken to social media to discuss legislative initiatives that he is championing. Arrington, who replaced Randy Neugebauer in 2017 and holds a BA from Texas Tech University, shared his thoughts on upcoming policy measures aimed at enhancing national prosperity and security.

On May 16, 2025, Arrington tweeted about the potential impact of a reconciliation bill. He stated: “We stand on the precipice of a generational opportunity to make an unprecedented investment in the safety, security, and prosperity of the American people – and to begin restoring the fiscal health of our nation.” He emphasized this bill as a principal legislative vehicle for achieving these goals.

Later that day, Arrington highlighted plans for tax reform and regulatory adjustments with another tweet: “We are going to advance the most comprehensive tax reform in the history of our great country and other pro-growth policies that will rein in the regulatory state.” He believes these measures will help manage government size and control spending.

In another tweet on May 16th, Arrington underscored defense priorities through what he referred to as “The One Big Beautiful Bill.” He noted: “The One Big Beautiful Bill equips our armed services with the tools and resources they need to safely and successfully do the first and most important job of the federal government – provide for the common defense.”

Jodey Arrington was born in Plainview, Texas in 1972. Now aged 51, he resides in Lubbock.
