State Rep. Sarah Davis (R-Houston) said on social media Jan. 22 that Gov. Greg Abbott has come to an agreement concerning women's health services.

"The approval of the Healthy Texas Women demonstration waiver will allow the state to utilize federal funding for women’s health services that positively impact the health and well-being of Texas women," Davis said in a Facebook post.

According to the post, the agreement will provide Texas with $350 million for women's health services and will focus on key areas like maternal health and cancer screenings.

"The new waiver will allow Texas to serve more than 200,000 clients a year," Davis said in her post. "Healthy Texas Women served approximately 173,000 women in FY 2018, the most recent year data is available. More information is available at healthytexaswomen.org. Texas residents can dial 2-1-1 to learn about programs and services."
