Jon “Mark” Sjolander, the owner and president of Sjolander Resources and Development LLC, was reappointed to the Coastal Water Authority (CWA) Board of Directors to serve as one of its seven members.

Sjolander was appointed to a term that will expire in April 2022, according to Gov. Greg Abbott’s office. He is also vice president of the Liberty County Farm Bureau Board of Directors, a director on the Liberty County Central Appraisal District Board of Directors, a member of the Trinity Valley CCA Board of Directors, and a member of the Southwest Association of Rail Shippers. He is a graduate of Stephen F. Austin State University.

As a member of the CWA Board of Directors, Sjolander will help with the oversight of the conservation and reclamation district which extends into Harris, Chambers and Liberty counties. The district transports and delivers water inside and outside of its borders and has the authority to construct all facilities and properties needed for that purpose.
