Of the 4,697,957 people living in Harris County, Texas in 2021, 50.2% (2,356,519) were women and 49.8% (2,341,438) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by East Houston News.

Data showed the average age for women in Harris County in 2021 was 35 years, lower than the national average of 40 for women.

According to census data, despite women being more prevalent in Harris County during 2021, men aged 18 and over outnumbered women in the same age group by 13,062. Meanwhile, in the 65 and over group, there were 223,797 men and 275,481 women.
