1,222 gifted and talented students were taught in Liberty County schools in the 2022-23 school year

Test 11

Liberty County schools enrolled 1,222 students who were identified as being gifted and talented during the 2022-23 school year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

This is a 14.3% increase over the previous school year.

Of the 23,316 students enrolled in Liberty County schools, 5.2% of them were considered to be gifted and talented.

Liberty County enrolled the 43rd highest number of gifted and talented students among Texas counties.

The Texas education system is currently torn between public schools and taxpayer-funded private schools.

Critics argue that private schools use funds that should go to the public school system, while private school advocates claim they’re offering better education for more Texas students.
