The following day, on February 5, he commented on President Trump's stance against criminal activities: "President Trump is not messing around. He is not going to allow America to continue to be a dumping ground for dangerous criminals."
Later that day, Babin supported labeling cartels as terrorist organizations and emphasized strong action against them: "Wow. @POTUS was RIGHT to label cartels as terrorist organizations. If they even think about harming an American, they should expect the full force of the U.S. to come down on them. It’s time to treat them like the enemy they are!"
