HOUSTON PUBLIC LIBRARY: Virtual Presentation Of Some Diseases Our Ancestors Faced

Houston Public Library issued the following announcement on Nov. 24.

You may have heard that Great Aunt Mary was consumptive and know that means she had tuberculosis, but what if someone had phthsis pulmonalis, phthisis, potter's asthma, or white plague?

Join us Friday, December 4, 2020 at 2 PM for a virtual presentation of some of the diseases our ancestors faced and where to find out the meaning of medical terms found in obituaries or death certificates.
