Concerns raised by Brian Babin over sovereignty and national security

Brian Babin, a U.S. Congressman representing Texas' 36th district since 2015, has expressed concerns on several issues through his recent tweets. Born in Port Arthur, Texas, in 1948, Babin has been vocal about matters of national security and fiscal responsibility.

On December 8, 2024, Babin addressed concerns regarding foreign influence on American sovereignty. He stated: "Let’s be clear: no foreign country should ever be allowed to trample on our sovereignty or violate our Constitution. Mexico’s infringement on our Second Amendment cannot stand!"

Later the same day, Babin commented on reports of cybersecurity breaches involving Chinese hackers targeting U.S. telecommunications providers. He emphasized the need for strong measures against such threats: “U.S. officials believe Chinese hackers breached at least eight U.S. telecommunications providers in their quest to spy on top U.S. political figures… We must do all in our power to combat Communist China and its attacks on our national security."

In another tweet posted shortly thereafter, Babin highlighted concerns about the nation's financial state: "America’s debt is a problem that must be swiftly rectified. Our future depends on it."
