On February 20, 2025, Representative Ed Case posted about his participation in an annual Labor Roundtable with representatives of Hawaii’s union members. In the tweet, he mentioned that the focus was on the Trump administration’s actions perceived as a broad offensive against federal laws and programs that support workforce rights and protections. On February 21, 2025, Case addressed the controversy surrounding statements made by President regarding Ukraine's role in its conflict with Russia. He questioned whether anyone would defend such statements against the prevailing view that sees these events differently. "It starts now will anyone defend the President’s statements that Ukraine caused the war with Russia to the vast majority of us who view the facts much differently."
In a tweet dated February 22, 2025, Case expressed concern over deep seabed mining near Hawaii. He called for at least a temporary halt to such activities until their impact on marine environments is fully understood and protective measures are established. "We must at least hit pause on potentially destructive deep seabed mining unless and until we know the impacts on our marine environment, especially so close to Hawai’i, and adopt full protections."
