Jodey Arrington emphasizes need for spending reforms alongside Trump tax cuts

Jodey Arrington, a U.S. Congressman representing Texas' 19th district since 2017, has been vocal on various policy issues through his social media presence. Born in Plainview, Texas in 1972 and an alumnus of Texas Tech University, Arrington resides in Lubbock and continues to engage with constituents on pressing national matters.

On March 3, 2025, Rep. Jodey Arrington expressed the necessity for fiscal responsibility by pairing tax cuts with spending reforms. He stated: "House Republicans have made it clear: we must pair the Trump tax cuts with spending reforms. Failing to do so limits our growth potential, makes it harder to bring down the cost of living, and merely shifts the tax burden onto our children—through higher future tax rates and/or…"

Later that day, he addressed rural health care needs by introducing legislation aimed at strengthening rural communities. In his words: "We won't have the next generation of ag and energy producers providing America with food security and energy independence without access to basic health care in rural communities." He emphasized his commitment by stating he was "proud to introduce important bills to keep Rural America healthy & strong."

On March 5, 2025, Rep. Arrington commented on President Trump's second term's early days: "Not even 50 days into President Trump's second term, America is BACK! Check out my thoughts on the President's speech."
